Nakalat, the best Moose hunting Canada can offer. Our guests are picked up in Prince George or Fort St. James (worth a stop itself) and transported to the Fort and then to the lodge on our 29 foot M.V. Miss Virginia 11.
The amount of hunting in the area is very limited due to it's remote location and therefore the moose population is very stable and healthy. The truly unique nature of Nakalat offers a hunting experience not to be found in the rest of Canada. Moose hunting guides are available to aid your hunt. Their unlimited experience will ensure that you have a high chance of success. Bulls range in size from immature to large bulls in the 35 to 60 i

Nakalat Lodge has existed for many years and is believed to have been constructed over 60 years ago.
It is presently owned and maintained by a major shipping company based out of Norway and has been a private corporate hunting and fishing retreat for over 20 years. In the past, it has only been open to the public during the summer months. During the fall, we catered strictly to the invited guests and clients of the owners. We are now open to the general public both summer and fall.
The lodge consists of 10 rental cabins as well as our beautiful main lodge. Most buildings are of log construction and some date back well over 50 years. All cabins have full bathrooms and hot water, as well as heat and electricity. And all cabins are right at the lakeshore. All bedding and towels are supplied as well. Just move in! The main lodge contains a large stone fireplace and a wonderful display of wildlife and photographs from over the years left by our guests. Our dining area overlooks the lake, only a few steps away and is well known for it's fabulous family style meals. We have a tent setup area as well.
